From November 10 to 21, 2025, the UN Climate Change Conference (COP30) was held in Belém, Brazil. China Sustainability Tribune, through its "GoldenKey – SDG Solutions" platform, presented 32 outstanding climate solutions from Chinese enterprises across multiple thematic side events and launch activities, systematically sharing China’s climate actions and replicable experiences with the international community
Coinciding with the tenth anniversary of the Paris Agreement and with only five years remaining to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), COP30 marked a critical shift "from negotiating rules to delivering results." The call by COP30 President-designate André Corrêa do Lago , "A Cycle of Words Ends, A Cycle of Action Begins", echoed UN Secretary-General António Guterres’s emphasis on "implementation, implementation, implementation." "Solution" and "Implementation" became keywords throughout the conference, underscoring the accelerated transition from consensus to tangible progress in global climate governance.
Report launch sets the tone: Chinese Enterprises’ transition experience inspire the international community
On November 14, at the side event "Multi-stakeholder Partnerships Driving Blended Climate Finance" in the Green Climate Fund Pavilion, Xiang Nan, Assistant President and International Cooperation Director of China Sustainability Tribune, officially released the report "GoldenKey: 2025 Climate Solutions from Chinese Enterprises." This report, consolidating six years of low-carbon corporate practices, presents 14 innovative solutions spanning five key areas: industrial park transition, zero-carbon villages, industrial upgrading, resilient cities, and new-type power system.
Xiang Nan highlighted that Chinese enterprises have achieved a leap from "a single spark" to "a raging prairie fire" in low-carbon transition, evolving from policy-driven compliance to strategic voluntary action. This shift is particularly evident in the energy sector. Through thematic competitions organized in partnership with State Grid Corporation of China and the China Electricity Council, the GoldenKey platform has identified a series of benchmark practices addressing climate challenges. Leading enterprises like State Grid have established efficient, low-carbon energy consumption models across various scenarios through smart microgrids, distributed photovoltaics, and other diversified practices, demonstrating both Chinese technical strength and providing replicable transition pathways for the world.
In her sharing, she took an exemplary solution of State Grid Wuxi Power Supply Company as an example to elerrate on how the company create a flagship zero-carbon industrial park to accelerate action on carbon peaking and neutrality goals. Key components of the solution were thoroughly analyzed, showing the application scenarios of this solution.
November 12: At the "Chinese Business Power Driving Global Climate Transition" side event, State Grid Taizhou Luqiao Power Supply Company presented its " Digital Dual-Carbon Brain" solution via video, providing precise energy consumption analysis for over a thousand local automotive industry chain enterprises. This solution was also selected into the GoldenKey Climate Solutions 2025 for its multiple benefits in helping enterprises achieve "lower electricity prices, lower electricity consumption, lower losses, and lower investment".
At the "China-Brazil Green Trade Partnership" seminar held the same day in the Brazil Pavilion at COP30, a selected solution from State Grid Quzhou Power Supply Company—"Carbon Account" Empowering Low-Carbon Development and Boosting Export Trade—was presented in video format, systematically sharing how the emerging "carbon account" mechanism in China advances emission reduction and supports climate governance.
November 18: Multiple events featured GoldenKey solutions, including BOE’s deep emission reductions through technological innovation and State Grid Jingning Power Supply Company’s synergistic approach integrating ecological protection, climate action, and rural vitalization. Deng Mingwen, Editor-in-Chief of China Sustainability Tribune shared the two solutions on the press conference titled "Harmony and Coexistence: The Role of Chinese Civil Society and Business in Responding to Global Climate Changes" held in the United Nations Press Conference Hall.
At the thematic side event "Anchored in Scenarios, Igniting New Momentum for Climate Action" held in the Side Event Room within the COP30 Blue Zone, Hu Wenjuan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of China Sustainability Tribune, shared the series of initiatives undertaken by the organization in the field of sustainable consumption, including multiple solutions designed to create a closed-loop system for sustainable consumption and production. The "climate-resilient distribution room" solution from State Grid Huangyan Power Supply Company and State Grid Zhejiang Information & Communication Company, attracted attention via a video presentation. By adopting a model combining manual prevention, technological prevention and intelligent prevention, the solution has increased flood prediction accuracy to 92.4%, achieving zero flooding during multiple typhoons. It provides a replicable power security solution for coastal cities dealing with extreme weather and enhancing urban resilience.

Additionally, at the Booth Exhibition Area in the COP30 Blue Zone, the GoldenKey maintained a dedicated exhibition space at Booth 10. Representatives introduced the GoldenKey solutions to international guests, and with the support of He Wei, General Manager of BOE Brazil, they promoted BOE's SDG solutions to the global audiences.
Value highlighs: GoldenKey builds a climate cooperation bridge between China and the world
From the Green Climate Fund Pavilion to the UN Press Conference Room, from the China Pavilion to the WWF Pavilion, and from side event rooms to exhibition booths, the GoldenKey platform presented 32 selected solutions covering energy supply, industrial transition, urban resilience, and rural development. This demonstrated conclusively that Chinese enterprises have progressed from "self-transformation" to "solution export."
The value of the GoldenKey lies not only in identifying and promoting outstanding solutions but also in constructing a complete cycle of "discovery – evaluation – enhancement – promotion." Through a rigorous selection mechanism encompassing preliminary review, roadshow and video competition, and full-chain services including field research, expert empowerment, and international connections, the platform has become a vital bridge for Chinese enterprises to participate in global climate governance.
