On November 19, a thematic side event titled "Corporate Multilateral Collaboration and Just Transition Toward Zero-Carbon Goals" was successfully held at the COP30 China Pavilion. The event was co-organized by the China Enterprise Confederation (CEC), China Enterprise Management Science Foundation, All-China Environment Federation, China Sustainability Tribune, and the China Environmental Grantmakers Alliance, bringing together representatives from Chinese government agencies, Chinese and international companies, international organizations, and foundations to share achievements and discuss experiences of Chinese enterprises in green, low-carbon, and just transitions.

In his keynote speech, Li Bing, Executive Vice President of CEC, emphasized that Chinese enterprises are pivotal forces in implementing China鈥檚 "dual carbon" strategy and advancing a just transition. As China鈥檚 largest representative organization for enterprises, CEC supports corporate green transition by facilitating their engagement  in UN SDG agendas, fostering cross-sector collaboration in green and low-carbon fields, and engaging with international organizations on just transition topics.

A highlight of the event was the release of four pioneering and exemplary project outcomes. Among them, Yu Zhihong, President of China Sustainability Tribune, officially launched the report, New Explorations in Energy Transition: Climate Action Solutions from State Grid Jiangsu. This report, jointly prepared by State Grid Jiangsu Electric power Co., Ltd.(State Grid Jiangsu) and China Sustainability Tribune, systematically documents the innovative pathways and notable achievements of State Grid Jiangsu in advancing energy transition.

Yu shared that since its launch in 2020, the "GoldenKey 鈥?SDG Solutions" has been dedicated to identifying and promoting pioneering practices of Chinese enterprises in implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Over six years, GoldenKey has collected 2,365 solutions, with "climate action" remaining a key focus. The solutions integrated in this report鈥攄rawn from 13 prefecture-level cities under State Grid Jiangsu鈥攔epresent benchmark cases selected from the 2025 GoldenKey campaign. These solutions are characterized by their innovation, demonstrative value, and replicability, embodying both tangible climate actions by Chinese enterprises and a practical contribution to COP30.

As the largest provincial grid subsidiary under the State Grid Corporation of China, State Grid Jiangsu has positioned the development of a new power system at the core of its strategy, incubating a series of climate action-oriented innovative solutions across diverse scenarios. These solutions aim to tackle the classic "impossible triangle" of balancing energy security, affordability, and eco-friendliness, achieving breakthroughs in key areas such as efficient use of new energy, zero-carbon scenario demonstration sites,low-carbon industrial transition, and climate resilience building.

During the report launch, a video titled "How Electricity Unifies Jiangsu?"鈥攃o-produced by State Grid Jiangsu and the Institute For Planets鈥攚as screened, vividly illustrating how electricity integrates 80 million residents, 70,000 factories, 25 top-tier counties, and 13 distinct prefecture-level cities (often referred to as the "Thirteen Titans") into a cohesive and efficient system.

Three other significant outcomes were released at the side event: the 2025 Selected Cases of Outstanding Green and Low-Carbon Practices by Chinese Enterprises (Chinese-English version), introduced by Miao Rong, Secretary-General of the CEC Green and Low-Carbon Development Promotion Committee and Chairman of the China Enterprise Management Science Foundation; A strategic cooperation agreement signed between the All-China Environment  Federation and the Amazon Environmental Research Center (IPAM), announced by Ni Yao, Director of Strategic Cooperation at the All-China Environment Federation; and the book My Green and Low-Carbon Life (Chinese-English version), introduced by Song Mingxia, Member of the Energy and Green Consumption Committee of the China Energy Research Society.

The side event attracted a full house of Chinese and international participants, who engaged in attentive listening and dynamic discussions. The vibrant exchange of ideas and convergence of consensus underscored the international community鈥檚 high recognition and expectation for the wisdom and solutions contributed by China in addressing climate change.
