The UN Climate Change Conference (COP30) is currently underway in Bel茅m, Brazil, running from November 10 to 21, 2025. Representatives from all parties are focusing on a series of critical issues to deepen and implement global climate action, with a particular emphasis on identifying solutions across six thematic areas: energy, industry, and transport transition; forests, oceans, and biodiversity; agriculture and food systems transition; urban resilience, infrastructure, and water resources; human and social development; and finance, technology, and capacity building.
The year 2025 marks the tenth anniversary of the Paris Agreement and is pivotal for enhancing climate action. Countries are required to submit their new Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) this year, clarifying pathways to fulfill the Agreement鈥檚 goals.
In his tenth open letter, Ambassador Andr茅 Corr锚a do Lago, COP30 President-Designate, called for "A Cycle of Words Ends, A Cycle of Action Begins," emphasizing that COP30 must shift from a negotiation mechanism to a "solution ecosystem." He advocates transforming global climate governance from "mechanical operation" to "multi-stakeholder collaboration," setting an "action-first" tone for the conference and striving to steer the world from pledges to tangible implementation.
In June 2019, Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed that "sustainable development is the 'golden key' to solving current global problems." In 2020, the United Nations launched the "Decade of Action" for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Against this backdrop, China Sustainability Tribune initiated the "GoldenKey 鈥?SDG Solutions" (hereinafter "GoldenKey") to identify, shape, and promote outstanding SDG solutions contributed by Chinese enterprises.
Over the past six years, GoldenKey has become a highly influential platform for exchange and demonstration in China鈥檚 sustainable development landscape. It has collected 2,365 solutions, of which 1,054 have been recognized as outstanding SDG solutions. These solutions are characterized by precise problem definition, notable innovation, strong replicability, and significant comprehensive value, demonstrating the capability and creativity of Chinese enterprises in contributing to the SDGs. In 2021, GoldenKey was recognized as a UN SDG Good Practice (#33560).
To contribute to global climate action and support China鈥檚 dual carbon goals, GoldenKey has gathered outstanding solutions in energy transition, low-carbon production and operation, digital empowerment, financial support, and low-carbon consumption and lifestyles. In collaboration with State Grid Corporation of China and the China Electricity Council, GoldenKey also organized the "GoldenKey 路 SGCC Special" and the "GoldenKey 路 Power Sector Special," drawing attention to exemplary solutions from the energy sector鈥攑articularly the power industry鈥攖hat address climate challenges, drive energy transition, and create shared green value. These solutions demonstrate particular strength in tackling challenges in the following areas or scenarios:

We believe that the innovative and exemplary solutions on the GoldenKey platform represent the best actions to address climate change鈥攁nd the finest gift to COP30.
