On September 25, 2015, the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit adopted a document collectively agreed upon by 193 member nations, titled 鈥淭ransforming our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.鈥?This landmark document, which includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 169 targets, serves as both a call to action for the betterment of humanity and the planet, as well as a blueprint for the success of global society. Sustainable development has become the greatest consensus globally.

China attaches great importance to implementing the鈥?030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,鈥漚nd President Xi Jinping has delivered significant speeches on sustainable development on multiple occasions. In June 2019, during the 23rd St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, President Xi made a profound statement in his address titled 鈥淎dhering to Sustainable Development and Creating a Prosperous and Better World,鈥?nbsp;emphasizing that sustainable development is the 鈥済olden key鈥?to solving global problems.

To implement the 鈥済olden key鈥?spirit highlighted by Chinese President Xi Jinping, and respond to the Decade of Action, China Sustainability Tribune officially launched the 鈥淕oldenKey鈥擲DG Solutions鈥?in 2020 to find and shape the SDG action models in China, spread the story of China's sustainable development action, and contribute to the sustainable development in China and even the world.

鈥淕oldenKey-SDG Solutions鈥?aims to become the 鈥淥scar Award鈥?for sustainable development actions in China. Through a process of 鈥渞ecommendation, review, roadshow, and final selection,鈥?the campaign strengthens professionalism, fairness, and competitiveness, allowing the most outstanding actions possessing the characteristic of being the 鈥済olden key鈥?to stand out.

GoldenKey Campaign has proposed and also follows the GoldenKey AMIVE criteria.1) Accuracy: pinpoint the causes to better hunt possible solutions; 2) Match: find the鈥渉ighly-matched鈥?solutions; 3) Innovation: apply innovation to relieve key barriers; 4) Value: create comprehensive and multiple values through problem-solving;5) Evaluation: resonate with stakeholders for positive evaluations.

The GoldenKey campaign has been held for four sessions, with a total of 449 actions from 389 companies. These actions represent typical examples of Chinese corporate implementation of SDGs, reflecting proactive exploration and innovation in promoting sustainable development and serving as the stories of sustainable development in China.

The GoldenKey campaign has released significant value and social influence, receiving wide recognition from various sectors and garnering extensive attention from society. In 2021, the GoldenKey Campaign was selected as the UN Good Practices in 2021, which was highly recognized around the world, marking it one of the most influential and international sustainable development activities in China.
