As of June 2025, loans to technology (↑12.5% YoY), green industries (↑25.5%), inclusive finance (↑11.5%), elderly care (↑43%), and digital economy (↑11.5%) all outpaced total loan growth. The share of new loans to these five sectors now reaches about 70%, compared to over 60% for real estate/infrastructure in 2016. Green loans surged from RMB 9.9 trillion (2019) to RMB 36.6 trillion (2024), averaging over 20% annual growth. Micro-loans maintained over 20% growth since 2018, with beneficiaries tripling to 60.99 million inclusive small and micro enterprise credit accounts. (Xinhua)
