Why can bees exist 137 million years?
What is the secret of their sustainable survival ?

Bees gather and make honey from flowers for survival. In the meantime, they spread pollen for plants to grow. As a result, they could have wider sources to gather honey. It is a sustainable lifestyle and that is why bees can exist 137 million years. There are enterprises, just like bees, who dedicate to creating harmony and symbiosis with the environment and the society. We call them "GoldenBee Enterprises".

Adhering to the principle of "responsible competitiveness for sustainable development", GoldenBee actively promotes the CSR development in China with all model CSR enterprises. On June 5, 2011, GoldenBee jointly initiated the GoldenBee CSR 2020 Initiative with 10 enterprises including State Grid Corporation of China, China Southern Power Grid, BASF China, Intel China, Dupont China, EATON China, Coca-Cola China, NEC China and Liugong Group, aiming to "solve major problems hindering the road towards a moderately prosperous society", and build a sustainable home for the mankind.

For the past six years, targeting the challenges in building a moderately prosperous society, over 20 GoldenBee enterprises have worked out detailed plans and measures according to their own strengths with a focus on thirteen issues such as innovation, low carbon, energy efficiency management, employees, supply chain, communities, informatization, agriculture and food security, inclusive growth, water resources, and customers and consumers, and regularly disclose relevant performance, which has exerted great impact in the society.

In 2015, The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development approved on the UN Sustainable Development Summit specifies 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. China released the China’s National Plan on Implementation of The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in 2016. On June 6, 2016, GoldenBee, together with 11 enterprises and one organization first released the GoldenBee Global CSR 2030 Initiative on the 11th International CSR Forum, which marked the beginning of the initiative of GoldenBee enterprises to respond to the SDGs.

In 2017, 12 co-initiators of GoldenBee CSR 2020 Initiative all agreed to upgrade the Goals 2020 to Goals 2030 and fulfill their responsibility with actions in a long term. At the same time, nine more enterprises and two organizations actively responded to the initiative and released enterprise/organization action plans. By June 6, 2018, GoldenBee Global CSR 2030 Initiative had has 25 enterprises and two organizations as co-initiators.

GoldenBee Global CSR 2030 Initiative and GoldenBee CSR 2020 Initiative

1. Same goals. The sustainable development goals of GoldenBee Global CSR 2030 Initiative not only cover all the issues in GoldenBee CSR 2020 Initiative, but also provide an opportunity and space for the development of GoldenBee initiatives. It will contribute to building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and fosters the realization of SDGs by completing the goals of GoldenBee CSR 2020 Initiative. The two initiatives have the same fundamental philosophy and goals.

2. GoldenBee Global CSR 2030 Initiative is upgraded from GoldenBee CSR 2020 Initiative. GoldenBee CSR 2020 Initiative aims to contribute to building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and promote the sustainable development of Chinese society, while GoldenBee Global CSR 2030 Initiative actively responds to The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

This shows that GoldenBee enterprises not only lead the CSR development in China, but also tend to make contributions to and lead global sustainable development, so that they will fulfill social responsibility in a higher, broader and deeper level to promote global sustainable development.

With consistent responsibility philosophy and innovations, GoldenBee Global CSR 2030 Initiative aims at improving the CSR competitiveness, developing the relationship between enterprises and the society and thus achieving sustainable social development. GoldenBee Global CSR 2030 Initiative, together with GoldenBee enterprises, calls on actions to contribute to China's National Plan on Implementation of The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in 2016 and achieve the SDGs.
