The history of the evolution of human society is also the history of human storytelling, which makes the best way of international communication since good stories could depict our common aspirations for a brighter future and establish the foundation for exchange, trust and cooperation towards a better world.
The year of 2023 is not only the first year of fully implementing the guiding principles forth by the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, but also the crucial year for link the preceding and the following of implementing the "14th Five-Year Plan". Enterprises, as an important business card of the country in the international arena, represent the image of our country. Thus, to realize the target of "better tell the Chinese story and make China's voice heard", it becomes particularly important to shape the image of our country with the help of sound enterprise images.
At a time when corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainable development has become a universal consensus around the world, it has become an intrinsic requirement and important link for enterprises to expand international business and enhance brand image to carry out the implementation and storytelling of enterprise social responsibility.
Telling the story of China's corporate social responsibility and showing the image of responsible Chinese enterprises are important tasks entrusted to us in the new era.
In this context, on the occasion of the opening of the 5th China International Import Expo, organizations like the China Sustainability Tribune, the Committee on Social Responsibility of the Chinese Electronics Standardization Association, Beijing Rongzhi Corporate Social Responsibility Institute and GoldenBee Thinktank jointly launched the "China's CSR Story Collection". After careful preparation, we are now looking for stories with regard to corporate social responsibility and sustainable development from enterprises across the nation.
1. Activity Objective
Creating Competitive Stories
We will explore, polish and refine a batch of good stories to empower Chinese corporate social responsibility with "true feelings, high integration and noble value".
Building the Platform
We will build a platform to amplify the sound and expand the influence of Chinese corporate social responsibility stories so as to advance the widespread of good stories at home and abroad.
Shaping the Image
We will collect good stories of Chinese corporate social responsibility to inspire positive energy, show the responsible image of Chinese enterprises and contribute to fostering China's image that is credible, appealing, and respectable.
2. Collection Scope
Target Groups
The state-owned and state-holding enterprises, private enterprises, joint ventures, wholly foreign-owned and foreign-holding companies in China.
Scope
Corporate social responsibility and sustainable development practices that have been promoted and implemented in the past ten years, such as poverty-alleviation and rural vitalization, environment protection, low-carbon development, resource recycling, promoting quality education, improving people's well-being, enhancing social inclusiveness, enabling sustainable development through science and technology, and implementing the Belt and Road Initiative and the Global Development Initiative(GDI).

3. Selection Standard
The selection of China's CSR stories will apply the "Principle of STORY" and take the value and plasticity of stories into consideration.
Sincere: Narration based on the sincerity
Thoughtful: Thoughtfulness based on the value

Representative: Representativeness based on the brand
Yearning: Resonance based on emotion
4. Requirements
Submissions should be in line with the value of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development. Companies should submit stories with good characteristics and plasticity that can collaborate with the organizers to create high-quality good stories of corporate social responsibility.
5. Procedure
According to the five-step procedure of "collection and selection — content polishing — expert modification — results publication — internal and external communication", the time planning is (proposed) :
Feb - Apr: collection
The collection of good stories about Chinese corporate social responsibility will be carried out for various enterprises.
May: selection
Select and confirm the list of good stories of corporate social responsibility.
Jun - Sep: polishing
Implement secondary development, material extension and polishing of the selected good stories.
Aug - Oct: promotion
The expert review meeting will be organized to further guide and improve the content and communication form of the story. At the same time, the English version will be compiled and the Chinese and English format of the hardcover design will be carried out.
Nov: publication
The outcomes of the "China's CSR Story Collection" will be released during the 5th China International Import Expo.
Nov- Dec: communication
Implement continuous communication with domestic and international platforms of all kinds.
